Questions For Kids

The following questions and answers were developed for our Vacation Bible School so that we could help kids learn about Jesus from a fresh perspective (namely, from the perspective of the Exodus).

To make these easier for the littler kids, we made parts of the answers bold, and those represent shorter phrases that are easier for the smaller children to memorize. For the older kids, we encourage them to learn the entire answer.

  1. Q. Who made you?

    2. A. Jesus made me.

  2. Q. What else did Jesus make?

    3. A. All things have been created by him and for him.
    Colossians 1:16

  3. Q. Who made Jesus?

    4. A. Jesus was not made. Jesus said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.”
    John 8:58

  4. Q. Why did God make you and all things?

    5. A. For his own glory—“You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honor and power;  For You created all things.”

  5. Q. Who is Jesus?

    6. A. Jesus is the image of the invisible God.
    Colossians 1:15

  6. Q. How many Gods are there?

    7. A. There is only One True God, “You believe that there is one God. You do well.”

    8. A. God is, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, as it is written, “God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, ‘Abba, Father!’”

    14. A. Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, he was buried, and he was resurrected on the third day, then he ascended into heaven to the right hand of the Father.

  14. Q. What does it mean for Jesus to be at the right hand of God?

    15. A. It means he is, “the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and Lord of lords.”
    1 Timothy 6:15

  15. Q. How is Jesus a King?

    16. A. God said to him, “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever.”
    Hebrews 1:8

  16. Q. Who were God’s people?

    17. A. Israel, the descendants of Abraham, a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.

  17. Q. Which enemy took ownership of Israel?

    18. A. They were Pharaoh’s slaves in Egypt

  18. Q. Who saved Israel from their slavery to Egypt?

    19. A. God the Father, whose name is Yahweh
